2018 Eno CTA August Tournament

What is World TeamTennis?
WTT is co-ed teams competing in a format that consists of 6 no-ad sets. One set each of men's and women's doubles followed by men's and women's singles, ending with 2 sets of mixed doubles. Total games won from all sets determines the winner. Substitutions and coaching are allowed during the match. Click here to view WTT Rules
What is a WTT team?
A team must have two men and two women, as a minimum. (10 players maximum). Teams will play an entire season of WTT tennis in one fun filled weekend! Teams may play several matches in one day so please be prepared to play!
Who can play?
Adults (18 & over) may sign up as a team. If you are an individual looking for a team, please email Lisa at WTT.enocta@gmail.com and we will try to find you a team.
When do leagues start?
Entire league will be played over the weekend of August 3-5, 2018 Play may begin on Friday evening, August 3rd, at 5 PM. Matches may conclude on Sunday, August 5th at 5pm. Teams may play several matches within a day.

In the event of inclement weather or extreme heat, Eno CTA may modify the format to allow for all matches to be completed within the festival weekend. Modified format would be singles & doubles played in the "short set" format of the first to 4 games, no-ad scoring. Mixed Doubles will be the first to 6 games, with a 9 point tiebreak at 5 all.

All teams playing in the Festival will be guaranteed a minimum of 3 matches.

Match schedule will be posted to WTT site and https://www.enocta.tennis/ approximately one week prior to the event.

Registration is closed is for teams. Players must be registered PRIOR TO MIDNIGHT ON 8/2/2018. Players cannot be added at the tournament.

Tournament playing schedule with match times will be posted by Monday, July 30th.

No refunds and/or transfer of payment to another person after the season starts.
What Divisions (levels of play) are offered?
The levels of play being offered are 18+ for levels 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5

2.5 Division is a fun division. Winning teams will not qualify for a WTT National Qualifier.
Determining Team Rating
The average NTRP rating of the top two men and top two women players on your team determines the team rating.
  Joe- 4.5 Mary- 3.5
  Tom- 4.5 Jill-3.5
  Bill- 4.0 Gail- 3.5
  Joe- 4.5 Mary- 3.5
  Jim- 3.5 Joan- 3.0
The best two men and two women are: 4.5 + 4.5 + 3.5 + 3.5 = 16. 16 divided by 4 equals 4.0.
This team could register for the 4.0 division or a higher division. A team consists of a minimum of two men and two women. Although the limit to the number of team members is ten, the suggested number of players is three men and three women. Click here to determine your NTRP level.
Where do we play?
Matches for the WTT Festival will be played at Southern Boundaries Park located at 100 3rd Fork Rd, Durham, NC 27707 or Hope Valley YMCA 4818 S Roxboro St, Durham, NC 27713

Eno CTA reserves the right to play matches at different locations in Durham, NC as required to complete the festival within the weekend.
Can I register as an individual/substitute/team?
Players must register as part of a team. You may play on more than one team as long as the teams are in different divisions. No special scheduling will be considered.

Note to substitute players:
Due to the festival format, no substitute players will be permitted. Teams may register up to 10 players. Each player on a winning team must play in 2 matches to be eligible for a National Qualifier.

Why register via the Internet?
You are not an official league participant until you have registered online. When you register via the Internet site you will be e-mailed league information during the season and your WTT Member Benefits (WTT Point of Contact Newsletter, discounts on hotel, rental cars, 2 for 1 tickets, plus more).
What is the cost?
2018 tournament fee is $160 per team. Team payment is required at time of team signup.

Should the Eno CTA Festival weekend not be able to be played due to inclement weather, team captains will be issued a refund minus any non-recoupable expenses.

League winners qualify for a National Qualifier?
Winning teams advance to the WTT National Qualifiers. Your team is eligible to participate in a NQ for up to one year from the end date of your league. For every four (4) teams in any official World TeamTennis (WTT) local league division, one (1) team will be eligible to participate in a NQ. Click here for more details.
Local League Information & Rules:
WTT Local League Rules apply. There will not be an official onsite as this is a regular league and all matches will be self officiated. Information will also be posted to https://www.enocta.tennis/
