Who says a double-double can only happen in basketball?

For the second consecutive week, Taylor Townsend (Philadelphia Freedoms) swept the singles and doubles titles at a $25k ITF Pro Circuit event in South Carolina, lifting four trophies in Sumter and Florence.

In her 10 singles victories the past two tournaments, Townsend has dropped just one set (a hard-fought semifinal win in Florence over Danielle Rose Collins). Her doubles crown in Florence came alongside Maria Sanchez of the New York Empire. The two blitzed Tara Moore and Amra Sadikovic 6-1, 6-2 in the final.

Townsend is expected to bring her red-hot form to this week‘s $80k ITF event in Macon, Ga. The American‘s singles ranking has unofficially jumped 21 spots to No. 107 after her recent success.

Three Mylan WTT Family members reached tour doubles finals. The New York Empire tandem of Eugenie Bouchard and Kirsten Flipkens finished runner-up in Luxembourg. Bouchard and Flipkens were ultimately edged out by Lesley Kerkhove and Lidziya Marozava, 6-7(4), 6-4, 10-6.

Jean-Julien Rojer (Springfield Lasers) teamed up with former partner Aisam Qureshi to contest the Stockholm final. Top seeds Oliver Marach and Mate Pavic topped Rojer and Qureshi 3-6, 7-6(6), 10-4 to claim the trophy.
